I used to live on Guam as a kid (I was a "brat").

My mom and I are taking a trip back to Guam early next year.

I haven't been back there since right before Kennedy was shot, so our trip will be like going to someplace new.

Send me any stories you have...IF you happen to be military and were stationed there, I would like to know about staying on the base--my mom still is considered a dependent, and the stay would be MUCH cheaper that way.

I am looking for good links too.

Thank you so much for responding!

I lived on Guam as a child (also a brat). Have wanted to go and visit again, but life hasn't let me. I lived there in the early 70's, middle of 2nd to middle of 4th grade. 3 typhoons in 2 years. The best site I have found is www.visitguam.org. Although www.guam-online.com is a good site too.
Have a great time. Make sure and go to at least 1 fiesta and eat some chicken kilguen for me!

definite, you would possibly want to. Guam is a territory of the U.S. and once you come and forth there you have not left the united states. in case you intend to end over or visit different places on your thanks to or from guam, youwould want a passport. see cyber web website below and study the superb sentence lower than the section titled "LAND AND SEA go back and forth" to make certain that passports are literally not necessary to go back and forth to and from U.S. territories.
