Yes Wow a couple of answers were right and some were scary wrong. 6th of March 1836 at about 0530 is correct for the actual battle of the Alamo in the Texas War for Independence. The siege of the Alamo itself lasted thirteen days. Approximately 180 Texans were killed by 2000+ Mexican "soldiers". The exact numbers are very debatable. The battle lasted about 90 minutes. Only the women children and slaves left in the Alamo were allowed to leave alive. They were sent out with the message Santa Anna is coming. The bodies of the men, led by William Travis, were all gathered into a pile after the captured men were executed, and burnt to send a message that no mercy would be shown the the rebelling Texans.
