I have small painful sores near the vaginal opening. I have 3 on the laft and 3 on the right. I think one of them has a white head. The others are red and like they have popped. What can this be? I made an appt to see my gyno but the earliest appt is Sept 12.
I am really worried. I had a brazillian wax done about 2 weeks ago, i don't know if this is related. Can it be herpes? I have engaged in oral sex (they on me) with several men in the last couple of years.

I'm no doctor, but I have been in the same place as you. I would have to tell you that is is the Herpes virus. The sores you have will pop and become lesions, and that is why it hurts SO bad down there. They are extremely sensitve to clothing, and to the acidity of urine, which is why it burns to pee and wipe. Because you have to wait so long for an appointment, here's what I can tell you. First, when you go to bathroom, to cope with the pain, use a water bottle to spray while you urinate to reduce the acidity of your urine.
Here's my problem. This is your initial outbreak. Which mean, you may have contacted the virus anytime within the last 6 months. Outbreaks usually never last more than a week or 2, your intial being the longest one. So, by the time you get to your doctor, you will have no lesions or sores... and because Herpes is a virus that hides in your nervous system, there is NO test whatsoever, to test for it. Unless your sores and lesions are present you have NO idea what you may have. My suggest...
GO TO AN EMERGENCY ROOm.. the can do pap smears and culture your sores, and you will know for sure whether it is herpes or not.
If what you have is herpes... I'm sorry, there is no cure. You will have outbreaks for the rest of your life. Don't worry, you are not alone.
Hope everything turns out alright. Do more research into the topic, and with a little knowledge, living with herpes is not the end of the world.

I got identified with genital herpes (type 2) about 5 years back, when I was still in college and had a stupid one-night stand. I realize a lot of people say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date other men again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone who has sores round her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/jst3a everything got better.

Not only was I able to eradicate all traces of the herpes simplex virus from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so lucky to write that just a week ago, in front of everybody in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This system provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love again. Now I want to help others by sharing this story.

Might be infected hair folicles/in grown hairs.

Ingrown hairs could cause it. Since the hair is probably growing back in that is most likely what it is.
