I am in a interacial relationship and I am African American and I live in Virginia so I see alot of interacial relationships! However I get reactions from the African American men, they often try to start a cnfrontation with my fiance, or they make rude comments for the both of us to here but I find that when it's flipped (a African American guy with a white chick) nothing is said by African American women nor men...........Why?

I am in the same situation as you and your fiancee. We get looks from a lot of people but the only people who actually vocalize the issue is African American guys and they are often aggressive about it; confrontation, drama, anger, etc... The funny thing is, they actually believe that you give a s*** about what they think.

You know, I once tried making sense of it all but I realized that you can't rationalize such ignorance. People are stuck with values that are unrealistic and very much outdated. Feel sorry for them because that's all they will ever know.

Don't even get into the arguments, they are not worth your time. The last time someone made a negative comment to us, we started kissing to infuriate them even more.

i'm a Caucasian American woman with a pastime in African American men. nevertheless I date all and sundry that pastimes me, colour does not difficulty me. practically each and every race has some thing cool and unique to grant. What i stumble on appealing approximately black men is they are frequently enormous. Get your innovations out the gutter, I recommend tall and outfitted. this may be a stereotype yet it rather is how each and each of those I meet are. They make me sense tiny and guarded. Plus they have warm butts.... yet it rather is in basic terms my opinion. Like I stated, each and every race has some thing diverse to grant.

African American women often get very upset by 'their' men with a white chick though. Its the same thing. My guess would be that you are an attractive woman and that is why they resent you being with a white guy.

not sure why ♥hey its me!!♥ reacted like that. weird.
and dappersmom what a b1tchy comment, geez.
anyway perhaps it's an insecurity issue. perhaps african american women are less insecure when it comes to that. not really sure but i think it's probably a generalisation. i think both sides aren't "ok" with it to some extent.

It's ocassional. I gues the African man thinks the woman should date the same kind. Nothing is wrong.

i've never heard of this, it's usually the other way around...if an african american man is with a white girl, then all hell breaks loose. ignore then, they are jealous you two are happy, or are too close minded to see it doesn't matter what race you are.
