The Republican congress has slept through the incompetence of this administration, but when the Democrats get the house in November, they will be able to force some of these incompetents to testify under oath about their screw-ups. Who do you think will be the first to "retire" when that happens? Rumsfeld? Rice? Chertoff? Cheney?

I hope the Dems take the House and Senate, yet it's not a sure bet. The Reps could use strategic politicking to win. It's going to be a horse race with the Dems slightly favored to win back Congress, yet wait until the elections are over before celebrating. Since Bush still has until January 2009 to hold office, none of the keys members of his administration is going to leave, unless forced out by the Dems. The most likely and easiest target by far is Rumfield. He has stuck his foot in his mouth too many times, although he has been quiet for over a year, if not more.

You obviously have been to blinded by political rhetoric to understand how things work in government.
Consider this: If the democrats attempt such a short-sighted effort to eliminate political enemies, what would the back-lash be like when the republicans turn the spotlight on the injustices fronted by the democrats? Understand this, business as usual in Washington allows for a great deal of back-door politics. While I would not mind if the spotlight was shined brightly into the halls of Congress, I doubt it will happen any time soon.
