Try a tablespoon of washing soda and fill the pan up with water and bring it to the boil. Let the pan stand overnight and then clean with a very soft scourer and some elbow grease taking care not to scratch the surface of the dish. Rinse in clear water then wash in the normal way. You should get good results, I have been using this method for years and it has never failed me yet
Le creuset is wonderful cooking ware, but the devils own to clean.

A little baking soda and white vinegar might work to loosen the caked on/baked on food since the combination can be used to clean clogged drains of their clogs and several toothpastes also use baking soda to clean tartar off teeth.
If that doesn't work, let it sit over night in very hot, soapy water to soften the burnt food particles so you can scrub it clean in the morning.
And if that doesn't work, check the cleaning aisle at the grocery store and see if you can find any of those cleaners like "Easy Off BAM!" that is supposed to be so wonderful for cleaning stubborn things.

I always use Steradent Tablets, they shift all kinds of stains that Fairy and water do not, like Tea & coffee.
They are a very active cleaner, but safe for human consumption once rinsed off. Something like Cilit Bang might leave a taste.

have you tried a dryer sheet? fill dish with hot water and dish soap (i use dawn) then add a couple of used dryer sheets and let it soak overnight. works great for me. oh yeah, next time, spray dish with cooking spray before you use it, and the burnt on food will wash right off. in the meantime, use the dryer sheets, you will be surprised.

Fill with hot soapy water (Washing up liquid, preferably Fairy) and leave overnight to soak. Should all come off in the morning with a little elbow grease.

try filling the pan with boiling water and add a good amount of baking soda. leave on the stove for awhile and the soda should remove any or most of the burnt up food.

Try boiling vinegar in it for about 10 minutes. Leave to go cold and then wash.
