The way society is, is one of the reasons my husband and I decided not to have children of our own. There are no morals taught anymore. This world is a "me" world and it's sad. People have children and don't spend anytime with them. What happened to "family time"? I know everyone says that both parents have to work, but do they really?? Yeah I suppose both parents do in order to keep living in a $250,000 home and driving around SUV's, 2 incomes are needed. People in today's society live way beyond the necessary in life. More focus needs to go into today's youth and instilling morals and values in them! Also, I think we all need to look at the heart of it all, God.

Nothing can be changed i'm afraid.. Even if the world was destroyed and rebuilt again people would still be the same
But
Take old civilizations for instance.. They "feared" things... Today everyone takes his own path and own believes, he doesn't care about others or doesn't believe in punishment and stuff.. They go against laws etc.
But back then, they were "civilized", their lives had a pattern, a beautiful pattern.. Even if the one person above them ( knowing the truth) had control over them still, they all living according to what was right for them.. Today multiply that person by a million and you get morons

Our society sucks, we need to d the following:
1. Parents need to be able to discipline their children (not beat them, but a hard spanking once in a while couldn't hurt some of them) and I don't believe it teaches violence, if it is handled correctly.
2. Prayer in schools needs to be reinstated.
3. We need to get some of the crap that is shown on TV and in the movies removed. The liberals have gone too far with Censorship laws.
These are just a few.
I hate to see what kind of society my grandchildren will live in.

My biggest problem? It seems that no one understands personal responsibility anymore.
I am sick and tired of taking care of society's lazy dregs. If you are able-bodied, there is no excuse for you to not earn your keep. You DECIDED to have sex at 15. You DECIDED to keep the baby. And you DECIDED not to hold your "baby daddy" accountable for his financial contribution.
Why must I and every other working person provide you with your own home, TV, VCR, cable, air conditioning, trendy clothes, manicured nails, etc.? I had to work for 15 years before I could afford just some of those luxuries, yet you somehow feel that you are owed something by me?
If we don't stop rewarding bad behavior, it will never stop.

Our society is currently very polarized by political parties and strict ideologies. People on both sides fail to recognize and support good ideas and good initiatives that are brought up in fear that if supported or implemented, they will empower the other party. We need to recognize good ideas that are good for our country and it's citizens and stand by them regardless of which side of the aisle they come from.
Our resources, time, and energy are wasted debating over what to do with somebody who has illegally entered this country. If they are here illegally, stop trying to spin criminal activities. We squander our natural resources to support our gas guzzeling Mini-Vans and SUVs instead of putting all of our time into finding alternative energy sources. Drive something less negatively impacting. We march and demonstrate and bring cities and local economies to grinding haults to try to give negative attention to one issue or politician. We are wasting time, engergy, and resources stupidly.
In the 60's, President Kennedy gave the nation a goal of getting to the moon and a timeline in which to do it. We need to end the devisive rut we are in and unite to accomplish some great things. Similar goals could be presented to our nation by it's president such as curing cancer or solving our energy problems. Put all of our energy and resources into solving single goals and we can accomplish anything.
People should stop trying to 'fight the other side' and put their energy into something positive instead of obstructioning.

Today's society sucks. The only positive change would be the total eradication of the infestation known as the human race.

If I could change one thing I would abolish political correctness. People are too afraid to say what they really think now for fear of being labled something "bad", when in reality most people probably think the same thing but a loud-mouthed minority group has beat them down so they won't speak their minds.
That's not freedom of speech. Plus it makes people into a bunch of pansies.

I think that there should be more importance put on morality. I'm not talking about what some religious groups deem as moral, I'm talking about something that all people can/should follow. If not this, than education; which will ultimately lead to morality down the road.
