What do you learn in a beginning ceramics class?

im taking this class this up coming year

You will at least have an introduction to the wheel, learn basic sculpting concepts, probably make a pinch-pot, and learn the dynamics of clay; clay types, reaction to water, how clay dries, ect.
You will also probably learn about glaze application.
