Best time is between early Feb until early April. There are not as many other tourist around, prices are a bit cheaper, it doesn't rain so much, it is cooler (like in the 70's maybe 80's), & kids are in school, so if you want to have fun at Universal Studios or Disney, you have a better chance! Just the less crowds alone is worth coming in the earlier time of year! It gets a little busy during valentines weekend, but thats about it.

Just after the hurricane season normally late October or early November. Its still lovely and warm but not stifling.
Otherwise try Disney over Christmas it's just so wonderful you'll love it.

I live here in Florida...and I think that right around Christmas is THE BEST time to go...because there is a perfect breeze and at Disney World there is an AWESOME Christmas parade!!

Winter of course. Especially if you are planning on spending time at Disney or Universal. I personally would not pay the money and stand in line for lame rides in 100 degree plus heat in the dead of summer. If you are taking kids, then you have to go once, right? January - February would be my recommendation. Cooler and less humidity, less traffic and tourists...
