I have had glass top stoves in the past and have had the same problem. I had a special cleaner that came with the stove but sometimes something would get cooked on too much and the cleaner didn't really work. So I bought one of the fine, nylon type scrubbers with the sponge on the other side. They make them for different surface types. I think it was white and said it would not scratch. I even used it on my Corian counters. Wish I could remember the make but it comes in a cellophane wrapper where sponges are sold in your grocery store, Home Depot or Lowe's.

Keep it wet. Just spray it with your cleaner or wet it with soapy water, and then put a wet paper towel on it to keep it wet. It's like soaking a pan that has food stuck on it.

Arm and Hammer baking soda with a dry cloth will take it off, then use whatever cleaner you normally use.
