It's an all-pebble beach, so hardly any sand I'm afraid. Plenty of attractions to keep kids entertained though, especially on the pier and around that area.

Brighton's fantastic especially for people with kids. The beach is almost all stones, but there's a patch of sand left over from a volleyball tournament - it's to the left of the pier.
Definitely check out the pier for rides, candy-floss and fun; there's an old-school penny arcade on the seafront between the piers; loads of shopping in the area immediately behind the seafront.
Plenty of good fish and chip shops along the front. If the beach is busy, it's normally a bit quieter if you walk past the burnt-down pier up towards hove, or left of the palace pier. If it rains try the Sealife Centre which is excellent.
Finally, there's a circus on in one of the parks in town, and a big funfair which opens tomorrow on a park called The Level - follow the main road inland from the pavilion and you'll find it eventually.
Hope you have a great day out!

i have were given not been a scholar in Brighton, yet have lived there. And it really is utter surprising as a city. It has the metropolitan surroundings of London, with the quaintness of places like Oxford or bathtub. The nightlife is probably the perfect contained in the country, if really expensive. there's a thriving arts and song scene as correct, truly research out this way of bands popping out of Brighton at latest. could not statement on the Uni, diverse than that everybody i pay interest to thats been has loved it.

Brighton is brilliant for pubs, bars, restaurants, coffee houses and little shops but I think if you are thinking of a beach-type trip with your daughter then Hastings or Eastbourne would probably be more suitable. They aren't too far from Brighton.

It has a nice atmosphere, lots of neat little trendy shops and the pier is fun. I would also recommend the Pavilion, it's like nowhere else in Britain.

Brighton is fun, don't forget your suntan lotion. She'll have a great time at the seaside with her dad.
