This needs to be done without restriction of movement or bulking the muscle too much. I am trying to strengthen my bowling arm (and most importantly the speed with which I can move my arm) for cricket but I guess the same exercises as the ones used with American Football quarterbacks would be helpful.

its not just your shoulder muscles that will need to be worked for not just strength but mobility. your entire upper body comes into play don't just concentrate on one area and remember mass is a by product of strength this also has an effect on the speed as well. people always say to me if i get to big i will be slow and i say really then how come linford christy held a world record for the fastest man on earth and he is a real big muscle machine. if you stretch lots you will remain very supple so don't worry find a good gym and hit the weights.

pressups against the wall ..on the floor anywhere use your own body wieght first and push ups pull ups but these are hard to do at home unless you can find a doorway to pull up on and something to push up with then try with weights apart from doing wieghts the other option is to go to a gym....

You could try swimming every second length of the pool just using your arms, not your legs. On the other lengths, just swim normally.
