I don't think it's blood. Face it you're 50 your sperm is probably just a little rusty.

Go to a doctor. At that age it is NOT SOMTHING TO PUT OFF!!! It is probably benign, but do not risk it. This is abnormal, ok?
That said- When did it start? Any trauma to that area? is it during urination? If no-go to the E.R. now. If it is, is it in the beginning or end of stream? Any pain? When was last prostate exam? Any family history of prostate issues?
This can be anywhere up the genito-urinary tree. Anywhwere at all. USUALLY blood from the penis is from benign prostate hyperplasia (or the prostate gettin big) Complications of this is that it can be pressing or tearing something, and you may be bleeding internally. It definately needs medical attention right now.

You're a 50-yr-old man and your name is Pamela?? Well, Pam, you can't get an online diagnosis ever, at no time, nyet. There is more than one cause for penile bleed. Only a licensed health care provider can diagnose you. Go see one!

if its traces and happen only once in a blue moon , its not alarming. but given your age I would have your prostate check out.
