Giving up 100, 90, and 95 points may be enough against Puerto Rico, China, and Slovenia. But please tell me just how we expect to beat the likes of Argentina, Greece, and Spain? Good luck, but I have my doubts.

The players of Team USA were selected so they can compete with the international style of play (open court, fast break, jump shooting). Hence, the players they chose aren't known for the defense, rather they're scoring players.

Wow! Just wow. Are you watching the games? Team USA is playing very good defense. Full court, pressure defense, they force turnovers, get a lot of blocked shots. Not to say Team USA's D doesn't have holes, particularly on the perimeter and their zone defense, but to say they can't play defense is completely inaccurate. The problem isn't the D, but that USA doesn't have the sharp-shooting proficency from the 3-point line that most of the other teams have that make those games (except for the exhibition game against Brazil) seem a lot closer than they really were.

Shane Battier and Bruce Bowen were brought to the team for their defense...well I guess just Battier now since Bowen was cut, however, this team is full of fantastic talent in all positions. So expect scores like 120-101 or 115 to 96...they suck at defense, but they will dominate offensively.

The reason US lets other teams score so much is because it takes the US little time to score the ball, so there are more chances for both teams. The US actually is the best defensive team... remember they are still blowing out teams. Many of their points come off steals.

honestly we'll outscore them. The world has no chance of playing defense on us. There is no team that can guard all three of the captains: Dwyane Wade, LEbron James, and Carmelo Anthony. We don't need to play defense we just need to kill them on offense

they can win by scoring more points than the other teams. they will get key defensive stops when they need to.

by outscoring everyone by 30 points, if the can't win it, there are some sevious salary issues that need to be addressed

you fools we cause the most turnovers, thats why we have scored the most points off turnovers and scored most fast break points!
