If it's a combination cd player/cassette player like some stereos have, usually it's just a matter of cuing up the track you want on the cd and hit pause. Then, making sure you've got a cassette in the player, cued up to where you want the song to record, you hit the record or record/play button and then hit play on the cd. It should work.

If they are separate components, you may be SOL.

Put the CD and the cassette in, press play on the CD and record on the cassette deck when you are ready to start recording. Is that what you want? You cannot copy a song from a cassette and burn it on a CD.....

IS THE TWO SEPERATE OR THE SAME? IF ITS ON THE SAME MACHINE ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS GET A BLANK TAPE AND HIT RECORD (SOMETIMES U HAVE TO HIT PLAY AND RECORD SO BOTH BUTTONS SHOULD BE DOWN WHEN RECORDING.) WHEN YOU PLAY THE CD. MAKE SURE THE HOLES AT THE TOP OF THE TAPE ARE COVERED. IF THEY'RE NOT USE SOME SCOOTCH TAPE TO COVER THEM. JUST HIT THE PAUSE BUTTON UNTIL YOU'RE READY THEN UNPAUSE IT WHEN YOU'RE ALL SET.
