The sky burns, the ground shakes, your eyes water, and your head explodes. NHRA (and IHRA) are awesome. Everyone should go to a national event at least once. No place else on earth can you stand so close to 8000 horsepwer. Makes everything else seem lame.

My husband and I love NHRA! Funny Car is my favorite and, of course, John Force! In top fuel, I would love to see Melanie win this year. But I also like Brandon, Cory Mac, David Grubnic and Tony Schumacher. What did you think of what they did to Angelle 2 weeks ago??? That stunk! Do you watch Driving Force???

I do! I do! I was a John Force fan before he won anything in the early 1980's.. First saw him at Firebird Raceway-Phoenix. He let my eight year old son sit in his funny car.
I drag raced all over Michigan when I was younger (tracks, not street). When we moved to Phoenix I raced there. Don't race anymore. Still go as often as I can. Funny cars are my favorite, do know Doug and Scott Kalitta trough a mutual friend.

Yes, some of us NASCAR fans also like NHRA drag racing. I watch it on ESPN when I have the time...

I'm a funny car guy myself, but I really like the IHRA's pro mod class as well. There's something very Ed Roth about the pro-mods. I'm already planning my trip to Englishtown next spring.
