Most gold is an alloy with silver. The reason is that gold is too soft a metal to make jewelry from. Harder metals are added to make it harder.

So any gold jewelry is going to have another metal in it even when it is called "gold".

Bullion gold is pure gold, also called 24 Karat gold.

18 Karat gold is 3/4th gold. The other 25% is usually a mixture of copper and zinc. White gold is oftern 18 Karat gold alloyed with nickel, silver and/or palladium.

14 Karat gold is 14/24th or slightly more than 50% gold.

Modern White Gold is usually an alloy of silver and gold, although other white metals can be used..

Electrum is a naturally occurring alloy of gold and silver, with trace amounts of copper and other metals. Electrum can vary from around 40% to 55% gold depending on its source. This alloy of gold was a common alloy for coins.

10 Karat gold is 10/24th gold and is the lowest percentage that can be legally sold as gold.

There are many alloys of gold and silver and other metals.

Electrum is correct, but you also have vermeil, (Ver-May) which is silver that has been gold plated. Vermiel is not a true alloy by definition.
