When i was 17 and in the army we did an exercise to build up confidence called the bridge jump, imagine September 79 down at the Royal Marine Commando's base in Plymouth, there is a bridge with a parapit wall of three feet on both sides we had to stand on the wall one at a time with two seargents siting on the wall either side of us holding our legs so that we would'nt fall.
When the command "jump" was given we had to jump 50-60 feet down into the freezing water that cut through the rock channel (fast flowing ) under the bridge and as we came up shout our name rank and number, there was a rope across
the river to grab onto to pull our rather wet asses out and up the river bank into the back of a four tonne truck where we got changed and waited for the next poor bugger to do the same.
Seemed to be a good idea at the time, but looking back i dont think i will be doing the same thing again.hope this helps .Terry

Some would say flying to America to meet a lady off the internet back in about 1998 was a scary thing to do, but I found it a good experience.
I'd probably go for getting out of the shower in Australia and seeing a spider crawl amongst my clothes, I hit it hard with my shoe and later discovered it was more poisonous than the funnell web, but that it isn't able to puncture human skin, oh how the Aussies laughed at me! Damn frightening at the time though!

Walked home through the Cape Town streets late at night after my car broke down and I had forgotten my cellular 'phone so I couldn't call home for help. I walked up the centre of the road expecting to be robbed or murdered any minute and by the time I reached home I was shaking so badly with fright I couldn't get the key in the door. (It is not safe for females to go out alone at night in that city even in a car, let alone on foot).

Moving away from my small home town and my family to start a new life after catching my ex husband in bed with a 16 year old girl. I ended up in London (where all the waifs and strays end up) and have been here for 8 years now, but it still scares the hell out of me!!

The scarie4st thing i have ever done is letting an evil spirit come close enough to posess me.
As i have said on previous occasions i am psychic and am able to talk to spirits and i also have a spirit guide called Ellis. One evening i was sat in my room watching a comedy/drama and i could feel a sort of prickling sensation arise in my head and neck next thing i knew i could hear this spirit telling me that he was going to come forward. I let him come a little closer, but i let him come too near. As he got closer i felt a sharp pain in my eyes and was momentarily blinded. Then i heard Ellis telling him to "let go'' and as he did she spoke to me. She said '' i have persuaded that spirit to move on into the light and carry on his journey. I thought that you werent ready for possessions yet and i was right in thinking so''. That type of spirit can inflict their bodily injuries onto physical beings and so i have fondly named this type the Lanecia. I hope that my experience has made a good answer!!

Did a 720 coming on to the interstate -- somehow managed not to hit anything. I ended up in the grassy area between the on ramp and the expressway -- facing oncoming traffic.
Talk about a shaky drive home!

climbed down Gaping Gill
(It's a very deep pot hole. I was there as a geology student, and I didn't realise that safety lines and rigs had been set up, I was so scarred I just bottled myself up and climbed down this aluminium ladder. I got a complete bollocking when I got to the bottom for not attaching the safety equipment. I hadn't realised how stupid I was being.)
