Might be getting close- you'll know when you are in full blown labor though- there is no doubt about it. Contractions are very regular and grow in intensity. All of your symptoms could be a sign that it is coming, but so is the fact that you are 39 weeks! ;) Get lots of rest, and be sure to eat- you might be going at it for a while, so don't skip any meals now while you can still eat! Also, when you are pushing, push like you are trying to poop, that is the kind of pressure you are going for! GOOD LUCK!

Well, no matter what you are having as far as pre-labor signs, you will have to look at it this way, at 39 weeks, you will have the baby soon. The doctors won't let you go past 42 weeks. If the doctor said that you are 2 cm and 50%, then you will go soon. I would drink raspberry LEAF (it has to be the leaf) tea, walk and surprisingly, have sex with your husband or boyfriend. There is something in the raspberry leaves that will cause labor and there is progesterone in semen that will cause your cervix to loosen up a bit. I have 4 kids and have had them at different times from my due date. When your body is to ready to give the eviciton notice and the baby is ready to pack up and leave, then that is when you will go into labor. No one, not even the doctor can tell you exactly when you will deliver. Like I said, you will at least not go past 3 weeks. Good luck!

Don't get your hopes up but it appears your body is preparing for something! Just in case call the labor and delivery unit of your hospital and speak to a nurse to answer your questions. Pack your bag, go shower and shave what you can reach and then grab some food. Even though you may not be hungry now, you will later if your contractions continue.
Good luck! You must be near the finish line!

Yes, loose bm's are an early sign. Also I noticed that instead of being warm natured like I was in pregnancy, I suddenly became cold natured. Take calcium to help keep your contractions from cramping and relax with them. Don't go to the hospital too soon.

Definitely!! All my labors began as terrible backaches. Just start timing the contractions and telephone hubby to fill him in in case he needs to hurry home!! Good luck to you and at 39 weeks i am sure you realize you could go at any time !!

Wohoo...sounds like labor. Don't rush to the hospital. Wait untill your contractions are regular or you get to the point where talking through them is hard.

It could be. I had a lot of loose poops a few days before my son was born as well as a lot of irregular but strong contractions.
Good luck!

sounds like you're well on your way!
just remember that you want to hit the road to the hospital when your contractions become about 5 minutes apart and if your water breaks or is even leaking...then get to the hospital!!
