is there any relationship between a persons height and thier body weight and if yes does this apply for both males and females?

It does depend on how fat your are!!

As well as the BMI, you should also have a BCI (Body Composition Index) . This used to be known as the Fat Pinch Test, and is a fairly accurate guide of what % fat you are carrying. It should be below 30%.

Calculating body mass index (BMI) requires both height and weight. You can calculate it for both men and women. BMI for children and adolescents is calculated differently. Search for BMI calculator online.

The taller you are, on average, the more you weigh. (Certainly, the more you can weigh before you are overweight.)

There is a height/weight index - that is how they decide what is and isn't overweight!

the most healthy person his weight must be less than his hight by 100
for an ex.
if a mans hight is 180cm his perfict body weight should be 80kg

most of overweighed pple are shorter compared to slim ones,this is more evident on women hence this applies more on women than men.
