Vitamin C is a strong support to the immune system. If 500 mg/day does not prevent colds or sore throats, increase it to 1000 mg/day. At the first sign of a cold, raise the dosage to 1000 mg. every 2 hours all day long, along with 2 caps of Echinacea, a powerful immune system booster. However, Echinacea is only effective if taken for short spells, never longer than 2 weeks. Don't use it regularly.

One more thought: avoid antibacterial soaps and don't be too fastidious. Our body needs to be exposed to germs in order to build up immunities to them. Remember, germs are everywhere... we get sick only because our immune system is suppressed as a result of fatigue, stress, poor diet or whatever.
