Yes unfortunitly you have to have a 360 in order to play it, the game will be released November, 2006.

Well, Halo 3 is a good reason to buy a Xbox 360 ;) I think that it will require a lot of hardware to run, so I doubt it would run on a Xbox 1.
Have you seen the demo on Bungie.net? They say that the video didn't use any prerendering, and it's pretty amazing. And that they're sure that they'll improve the graphic engine when the game actually comes out.
Roberto, you said november? great, the shop said that until next year. I hope they don't do the same as for Halo 2, in which they kept moving the date for about a year. As long as it's as good as their predecesors, I'll let them built it nice.
For me, it's the best FPS I've seen, including Prey, Doom 3, Quake 4. The gameplay is pretty smooth.

halo 3 will be exclusively on 360 and it comes out in the fall of 2007
