What matters is that that person is part of you and therefore will always be with you as you continue on your journey through life. By remembering the impact he/she had on you, you will ensure their constant memory and feeling of living on within you. One will never know if they are literally being watching over, but the importance of knowing you are loved and will continue to be by them allows their impact on you to never wane.

I believe that yes, but this is a question of faith and not a philosophical one. You should have asked it in religion.
Remember that philosophy requires of rational proof, and arguments that cannot be rationally demonstrated have no philosophical value, which doesn't mean that they are less worthy humanly speaking. Religion is an important aspect of human living experience and as for myself, by means of faith, (belief in things we can not see or proof) I believe that my loved ones are watching for me in heaven, and this makes me happy to think. But rationally and epistemologically: We can not know, therefore it has no philosophical value.

But...in a human aspect: Yes, they are, may God bless you and keep you strong during this temporary hard moment, and that he shuould put you together again in the end of time.

It would be nice that a guardian angel would look over you, even a dead relative or loved one. It would be nice to think dead spirits are flitting around, among the living, providing safety and succor. It would be nice to think there's an afterlife that gives blessing to the deserved and punishment and retribution to the sinner.

It would be nice if santa claus brought me presents at x-mas time for being good during the year....yes it would be. Without proof, however, its just fanciful thinking.

I tend to think they can come to us if we are thinking about them. Of course, there are still a few times when I would be happier knowing I'm alone. The thought of Grandpa Miller seeing me take a shower is a little unnerving.

i think not.vcause after death every person lost the controll on senses and all medium of communicatio.he is under command of god.and if god allow all these deaad to watch the living human being then the life would be hell.so it is not true.other wise if you believe then beware to walk with your boy friend .other wise he will kick ur boy friend.
