I am a Scout leader and the new year will be starting. I am beginning to run out of ideas and like to do a simple craft at the beginning of each meeting.

Beaded necklaces

Friendship bracelets

Bedroom door hangers (like Do Not Disturb)

Paint mini flower pots for odds/ends or pencils to be kept

Magnets of any sort....the magnet backing is pretty cheap then just cut pictures or whatnot out, glue to magnet backing and then cut out.

Make small birdhouses, keepsake boxes, paint ceramic banks.....

Make homemade cards throughout the year for the upcoming holiday season.

Have fun and good luck keeping them busy and satisfied :)

they can collect interesting objects from outdoors(rocks, flowers,feathers..)and paste them. they can make ant homes by putting some ants, soil in a glass jar. you can also try teaching them about different plants...if they are poisonous or not.they can also make collages of birds by using rags, paper, sequenses and very strong glue.

Beading, necklace making. It may be cheesy but they get pretty creative with it and its really easy to throw those things together.
