Stroke thier ego and ask your co-worker for help finishing the work. Maybe they'll finally pitch in.

If you want to get rid of him. Sign him up for porn email subscriptions to the work email. If it doesn't work at least you feel better that you annoyed them without them knowing it was you.

If the problem has been going on a long time and the bosses won't do anything about it, I think it's time to talk to HR. HR should never be to busy to deal with anyone who's being to much of an ******, especially if it's stressing you out. Work is a place you should be able to go and feel comfortable, most people should and are stressed out by work but no one should be stressed out by another employee.

I hope this helps you out. I also hope your bosses or HR do something about him, or this ****** gets transferred or quits.

You can be assertive and not necessarily be confrontational or aggressive! Just stand your ground and always be honest and speak with conviction in a calm and rational manner! This will disarm them of their ways and you will also attain a level of respect from all of those you work with!

There really is nothing you can do if the boss is letting him get away with it. It is up to the boss to do something about it. Or you bosses boss, you could go over his head.

Confront him about it. He might not realize that he's making himself look like a fool.

You should start pushing your work on him - seems that management doesn't care. Not like you are going to get into trouble for it.

When he tries to push his work off on you, don't do it. Do only what your boss wants you to do.
