You can tell if you have the DANA-SPICER axel by numbers stamper to the rear pasenger side of the axel. The model number will be just to the left of the long tube, the date will be to the right of that only on the tube and the bill of materail number will be to the right of the date. These number are on the rear of the axel. If you don't have a 3 or 4 speeed manual transmission then you would have either the TH350, the TH400 or the TH700R4. If you have overdrive and it is as automatic then you have the TH700R4. If you have the TH350 you can tell that from underneath, the 350 has a corner chopped off. The TH400 has as a larger corner chopped off and the opposite side of the pan is more curvy. The 350 is also a little longer from left to right, where the 400 is slightly longer front to back. The 350 has 13 bolts holding the pan on, the 400 has 12 bolts and the 700R4 has 16 bolts and no modulator. If you have the 1500 you probably have the 10 bolt rear end with 8 1/2 ring gear. this cover is more oval than the 12 bolt which is sort of round on the passenger side and more staraight done one the left. This one has a 8 7/8 ring gear.
