to the "experts" when it comes to Iran now and what we should do (if anything) about Iran. These experts, like Bill Kristol, VP Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz, Sean Hannity, Joe Liberman, a cadre of pundits on CNN, FOX, NBC said that:
1. We would be greeted as liberators
2. We would be out of there in less than a year
3. Iraq has WMD's and we know exactly where they are
4. Iraq tried to buy nuclear weapons
5. Attacking Iraq will reduce terrorism
6. The war will not cost over $600 million
All these turned out to be greatly and terribly wrong, yet these same people are on every news show, and in every news article advising on what to do about Iran.
Why are they still thought to be credible? And why is it that anyone who points this out is said to be "anti-American and not serious about safety or terrorism."
*Yes, Democrats voted for the war so this goes for them too
*Bush admitted Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11

most americans are still scared over 9/11. so scared they were willing to give the president unchecked power to make them feel safe. the administration took advantage of that to start a war for profit. they failed miserably. but in order to protect their image they created the anti-american arguement. any opposition to the president is viewed as treason. the president's version of bispartisanship is 'you do what i say'.
and america (citizens and politicians) bought this hook, line, and sinker just like a dumb bass. now that they are fighting back against the lies, coverups, and exaggerations it is difficult to overcome the safeguards the president has put in place to secure his power.

Damn right the democrats voted for the war. Every major political leader since before the bush senior, including the democrats, had been quoted saying we need to deal with Iraq b/c of there weapons and everything else. That wasn't a bush idea and only a bush idea.

Now I think both democrats and republicans have there own problems, but when it comes to defending, and war, republicans rule the day.

Because of the liberals we will lose this war. They are weaken our military. Turning it into a police force. Believe me I've been there. We have to read them there rights when captured, we cant bomb a house if there's a chance of a innocent pedestrian in the area, we cant enter mosques b/c there religious, even though the terrorists hide there for that reason. We have to be nice to them serve them good food, give them prayer time and so on and so on.

Its gotten to a point we are afraid to open fire on an enemy b/c we might get thrown in jail for it. The liberals think for some reason the terrorists are only mad b/c we started with them and if we stop being so aggressive they will leave us alone.

WE ARE IN WAR. We should be doing racial profiling, we should send in a could more thousand troops to keep control, we should be allowed to kill and destroy anything that posses a threat. If we did this we would be able to win there.

But don’t fear. As soon as the terrorists get there hands on a WMD and use it, we will wake up, and fight. Fight like we need to.

Im no war horse, but when we are in war. We need to treat it as such.

You are right, the problem is not Iran, the problem is the Irani state supporting terrorism groups and now nuclear weapons might be in th hands of terrorists, or may not!

Still the US thinks that by attacking on its root, meaning the iranian peoplegovernment, can get rid of this nuclear weapons an therefore never feel the threat of them. It´s military strategy.

But in fact Iran may not even have this nuclear weapons as you mention, and if they did they may not even use them against the US.

I don´t agree with attacking Iran or any other country, but some islamic groups want to control the whole world and for that I´m thankfull that some country is doing something to stop that.

The media is owned by a handful of individuals or groups and they are in the business to make money and get their own personal agenda in the spotlight.
I blame the media for the war in Iraq too...they never asked any tough questions..but they sure got on the patriotic bandwagon. And now..with support for BushCo and his war at a all time low and civil war in Iraq..the media is focused on a child murder from ten years ago. And the politicians are loving it..no having to face the more serious issues like unemployment, education, energy prices and so on. The media is pathetic. You have to really go out of your way, and out of the US mostly to get any news of substance.

curiously that's what we aren't listening to that makes the evidence for an Iranian danger conceivable. All you're able to do is examine between the traces. as an occasion, why hasn't Syria as yet made a public fact with regard to the bombing of a mysterious installation on their border by ability of the Israeli Air tension? Silence could be deafening, and besides the shown fact that I consider you on the questionable doubts over conflict-mongering, i'm able to't help yet experience here expression holds some magnitude: "eternal vigilance is the fee we pay for peace"

The Dems voted for the war because the Bush admin pick and choose which intelligence to give them so they only got the info that Bush wanted them to get to vote for the war. They also only listened to the intelligence that would get them into war and threw out the intelligence that they didnt want to hear.

The people that are for the war usually have reasons that arent true.

how many terrorist attacks have been on US soil since we went into iraq?

I believe we were greated as liberators by the majority of the iraqi people. Why do you want to listen to the ones that don't want their fellow countrymen to have freedom?

There were MANY reasons for going to iraq. Saddam did allow al qaeda terrorist training camps to be in iraq. Iraq ignored UN sanctions about weapons inspections for over a decade. Why do you think he was not capable of moving the weapons?

Why would you want a man who allows his regime to murder, rape and torture the iraqi people because of their beliefs, to remain in power?
