I am throwing a costume party and i would like if someone could give me some ideas. Not any witch stuff or things like that.

I went to a costume party a few years back, that was a lot of fun. They always pick a theme and everything (from the invitations to the food) goes according to that particular theme. The one I attended was called 'Hollywood"; the invitations included movie tickets, guests were greeted at the door by a fake paparazzi who took your picture next to a giant cardboard Oscar. The hor'deuvres went by movie titles, and all the guests were dressed as movie stars or film characters. There were even 'awards' for most original costume, etc. You can do the same with any theme. It also helps your guests to pick costumes more easily.

Movie characters. It is easy for people to get visual inspiration and ideas (all they have to do is look at a movie they like), and there are a lot of costume patterns out there for people to make their own, or costume rental/sale places for those who don't. You could further limit it to a particular type of movie (old black-and-white movies, or kung fu comedies, or Disney classics, or whatever) if you wanted.

Is your party a themed party? For instance, like about a tv show or something? or is it just a Halloween party? You don't want scary ideas is that it?
