Does it tell you the battery is fully charged. I assume you are not putting the battery in upside down so maybe the battery is just Bad. Contact your phone company they may offer to replace the phone and you keep all your settings with the smart chip.

If it is a new phone, and or battery, try to check if there is something blocking the contactpoints between the battery and the phone. You can try to clean this.
Otherwise it is the battery which needs to be replaced. best thing is to go to a shop where they sell this phone, and try a new battery to check if it is the battery which is faulty.

i have a nokia that does this - i sent it away becuase the shop stated it needed a software upgrade. now its back it does it occassionaly, switches off but then boots back up again with white screen and is then ok... strange... maybe take back to shop for software update...
