when you have a UTI, it is normal to pee alot, and also to experience some burning sensations while you pee. while you still have the infection (probably for a week or so), i would probably stay away from sex because bacteria transmitted to you from your boyfriend during sex can actually make the UTI worse, even though you are on an antibiotic (nitrofurantoin/macrobid is actually a very good one for a UTI). so stay away from sex for at least a week until the antibiotic runs its course, or until you are cleared from your doctor.

One of the characteristics of a UTI is frequent urination. The antibiotic you're on should not prevent you from having sex. However, consider that women frequently get UTI's after sex - so I would probably wait until you've finished the antibiotic, then make sure you urinate after sex to reduce the risk of another UTI, wipe from front to back after using the bathroom, drink plenty of fluids, control your blood sugar if you're diabetic, etc.
