I like his leadership ability and grace under pressure. But I would need to hear a lot more about his stand on a lot of issues. He did a great job in NY.
And the reason he seems liberal to Republicans and conservative to Democrats is because he is a moderate. He is also a real person and probably wouldn't get a invitation to represent the party because his ability to raise funds hasn't been tested.
To toughashell: he set up the command post the the OEMs predesignated command post.

He's too liberal for the GOP and he may lose some of his golden boy aura with the publication of the new book Grand Illusion: The Untold Story of Rudy Giuliani. It pokes holes in his heroic image of 9-11, for one thing by pointing out he moved NY's Office of Emergency Management to the WTC AFTER the 1993 attack, in other words after it became a known terrorist target. This wasn't very smart, as obviously this important office was immobilised as soon as the planes hit.
And remember that he tried to use 9-11 to prolong his term in office and postpone the election. Obviously NY was able to hold an election just fine, and it's dangerous when politicians start seeking to extend their mandates beyond what they were elected to do. He also tried to keep his mayoral papers which were rightly public property. There's a trend here.

HOLD IT! Why would anyone vote for an egomaniac like him? Be real!
First of all, he was doing nothing but grandstanding during 9/11, posing for cameras and interfering with the trained professionals who were trying to do the work of saving lives and retrieving bodies and trying to ensure safety... as they were trained to do... Giuliani was not and did/doesn't know squat about police work or fire-fighting or first aid or any of the medical procedures that took place under emergency conditions! He did more harm than good and I've been saying this for many years, as have police officers, fire fighters and other emergency personnel that were present.
Also, if he was unable to keep his marital vows, why should I think he'll honor his Presidential vows? Oh, by the way, in the NY, it IS STILL ILLEGAL commit adultery, and he, as an attorney and former prosecutor should KNOW that very well but it's one of those crimes that no one wants to prosecute because of their own infidelities... he abandoned his wife and was flaunting his girlfriend around all over town and in front of the mother of his children AND his children! That doesn't say much for the creep.
He's tyrannical and doesn't much care for the laws as long as he gets his way... and as President? Whoa... I wouldn't let him be President of a Dog Pound! It's bad enough with the idiot we have in the White House that seems to cater to the super rich; this idiot would sell the White House to the highest bidder! That's all he did while in office, make sure that his cronies were well taken care of with lucrative deals and contracts with the City (contracts to repair a school that were supposed to have been finished in one year took more than two and a half years where they were charging $8 for a light bulb from an 89-cent package, black plastic garbage bags $8 and the host of non-existent workers generating paychecks... for the contractors... to this day, there are CUNY and SUNY college/university Presidents paying their relatives for work that is not being performed... get real (you want an example? Try Hunter College where cheques are being mailed to the County of White Plains!). Figure it out! His administration and his hired guns were all corrupt... read the news, buster!

He was a nothing failed mayor, unknown and on his way out. Then 9-11 happened and he became an instant celebrity. His longtime friend Bernard Kerik published a book about himself entitled appropriately, "The Lost Son." He wrote about his time in Saudi Arabia protecting the Saudi Royal family. He became famous along with Giuiliani who was the former attorney general for Ronald Reagan. He went to Iraq and did a poor job training the Iraqi police. Then Bush nominated him for Secretary of Homeland Security saying, "Bernie's our man. Bernie's our man". Then Bernie had to withdraw his name from consideration saying he had hired an illegal alien to clean his house. There was previously no mention in the press about that house cleaner. There was not even proof that she existed. It was just a cover up. The real reason was his involvemet with the TASER company. A lot of people were killed as a result of the use of this weapon on U.S. civilians. Bernie made plenty of money on it as well as in his position with Giuliani Partners in the war on terror. All the big investors got behind Giuilani, including Arthur Anderson. Talk about a cash cow.
Sure, why not?

I one hundred% love the conception of Rudi a real attempting to counter the far left Hillary in ny for President. He ought to also recruit Condi Rice to be his vice president. imagine it through: a million) Rudi places ny a Democratic secure haven into play and forces the Democrats to waste vast factors there; 2) Condi is from California putting it into question besides - yet another Democratic secure haven that must be contested through the Democrats to save. 3) Condi stressful circumstances the girls persons and black vote that are both strongly Democrat. 4) you won't be able to paint Rudi as a perplexing line conservative like they have GW; if something the Republicans would have a perplexing time stomaching yet another authentic looking. yet he might want to get their help with close the border sort of subject matters.

Yes I would vote for R Giuliani , I think he would be a good leader. He was a good Mayor for NY, he made NY beautiful, Grand Central was a cesspool before and now it's magnificent. Giuliani is a no nonsense kind of person that you can trust that his agenda would be one believes to be right for America and it's best interest ,not his best interest....

He's a pawn of the elite, like Bush and Clinton.
The best bet is to steer very clear of the GOP and Dem parties. Find someone who's political platform is based on the Constitution, not on foreign policy, Wall Street, and implementing a global economy as Bush promised.

Yawn. It's about 12 to 14 months too early for this question.
I might vote for him, but he's way down on my list for POTUS. I might like to see him as Atty Gen or Ambassador to UN.

No. Everyone remembers him because of 9/11, but what did he do before that while in office? Nothing but upset people. It's funny that Republicans buried Clinton about his sex scandal, yet, Guiliani cheated on his wife also. He did even worse. He went around town with his girlfriend spitting in the face of his children. I don't remember many supporting him while he was in office because of his views. What's the change now?
