I went to a water park at the end of my period. The water stops the blood from coming out. Wear a small pad, and go to the lake. Anyway, a lake isn't clear water so they can't totally tell. Tell your friends anyway because they really will look up to you and ask you questions which broadens your friendship.

Why can you not say you are on your period?
You will have to have in your head a reason why you can't go in the water. Call her now and say you have an ear infection and can't soak in the tub or swim until it has cleared up. It will then leave the way for you to excuse yourself.
On another note have you ever tried a tampon? They are easy to use, i remeber my first time and it would not go in properly! I kept practicing when i was at home and soon was able to do it and got confidsent to wear it to school. It is cleaner and more hygenic. Buy some and just practice at home so next time you are in this situation it will not spoil your fun.
Have a good time :0)

It's not that serious. I'm sure there may be other girls paddlin in ur boat on that day rather than romping in the lake! If ur able, take some outside games that u and some friends can have fun doing outside of the water. (If u want, tell them u had an ear ache a couple days ago and u have to say out of the water)
HAVE A FUN TIME!!!!!! :-)

First off there should be no reason not to tell your friend that you are having your menstrual cycle and just don't feel like going into the water. That is the good thing about girlfriends is they understand issues like that. If you are really uncomfortable with discussing this then just tell her you don't feel like it and it is not open for discussion but if you change your mind you will make sure to let her know. A good friend should not pressure you to do things you don't want to do. Don't be afraid to use no as an answer without a reason to back it up. You do not have to explain your decisions to any body unless you want to.

My periods always stop as soon as I get in the water.
Just a minute before I go into the pool, I go to the toilet, and clean up with a wet wipe.
Then I get in the water very quickly. It stops asap, and only starts again 5mins after I get out, which gives me time to get changed.
It should be the same for all girls. I mean have you ever taken a bath during you're periods? You should have noticed that your bath water doesnt turn bloody, well its the same when you swim.
But good luck.

It really depnds on your body whether or not your flow will stop when you get into water. My does not but my siter does...You might try doing a little test before you get out in public and are embarrassed. Be honest with your friend. She will understand... that's what's great about having girlfirends! You can tell them anything. If you still feel uncomfortable, tell them your tummy hurts or that you are really tired and just want to lay out and get a tan!!

Just tell her you got ur period... or if u use a thin pad you can go in the water with that. It might sound nasty but when it's hot - why not?! It doesn't leak or anything, for me the water actually stopped the flow.

if you DON'T tell your friend that you have your period, she will probably think that you are being a stick in the mud and that you are no fun. It is probably best to tell her. Just ask her to please be discreet about it.. Tell her that if anyone asks, she should say that you are feeling a little under the weather. But that you wanted to come and be with them so that you could experience the fun with them. good luck

just tell her you can't go in the water because you have your period. If she gives you are hard time, so what? Every gal goes through this. Don't be embarrassed. It is a fact of life. (I'll pray for rain)

Well I don't know if you know this or not, but when a female is in water her period stops. So when you go with your friends to the lake act just like they are acting have fun and go for a swim. Please believe me you will not be embarrassed no one has to know.
HAVE FUN!!!
