Ok so me and my fiance broke up about a week ago. We were together for 2 years, and engaged for 8 months. Hes in the army, so it was a long distance relationship. Ok so now he broke it off with me, which is ok im trying to get over it the best i can. but now hes been emailing me everyday. What does this mean? We basically have been talking about what is new and all with eachother. well he will be coming home in march 07 and hes trying to be stationed somewhere close to home which is fine. I told him that was cool he'll be able to be close to his family and friends. he said to me O you dont want me to be close to you? What the hell is that supposed to mean?? Does he think that when he comes home ill be waiting here for him. Im not going to be. What do yall think??

I think he expects you to wait for him. When my fiance and I moved in together he moved out 4 times in 6 months for about 3 hours than he would show back up saying he was sorry.Men make rash decisions I don't think he really wanted to break up he just did it on an impulse and now he wants you back.

Usually the best approach is to just be direct. Ask him what is going on. Tell him that he's sending you mixed signals and you need to know what he's thinking and why he's e-mailing you if things between you are over.

If he says he just wants to be friends, you shouldn't grab on to that. It would be better to make a clean break and go on with your life and be friends later (if that's even possible). To pursue "friendship" now would be to just drag things out--a way to keep you as a possibility without the full commitment--don't go for it.

Best wishes.

It sounds to me like he is trying to keep stringing you along. He is hoping that you will be there when he comes back, waiting with open arms. If you truely don't want to be with him, you should cut off all communication, it will be easier for both of you.
