I believe we make our own decisions about how we will live our life, & respond to the things that happen, every day. That includes choosing to be 'saved', etc, so I'm not looking for any christian testimonials!! :-)
But I also believe that sometimes things happen TO us that change our life, or our way of thinking & looking at the world. Things that are not a matter of choice, but make a difference in our soul.
What happened, & how did it change you?

About 6 years ago I was drinking a lot and not spedning enough time with my daughter. My great grandma who practically raised me died, and made me realize what I was doing. I stopped drinking, and have been sober ever since . Life is good!

my grandma had a stroke. I thought she was going to die. I never really believed in praying, but that night, I prayed so hard my heart felt heavy....then all of a sudden I felt arms around me. My family saw me on the floor gasping for air between cries. Held me close. My grandma lived and I finally knew that I was not alone and that special people can be taken away at any moment. I learned to believe, to love, and to hope. Family is always there. Live for the moment, not the past or future. This time now is all we have.
