i wanted to get a brazilian, but yeah, any first time tips would be good

There's nothing to be nervous about, as long as you're going to a good salon that practices proper hygiene (the aesthetician should wear gloves and each applicator should be used only once -- ask before you show up for your appointment).
Everyone has a different pain tolerance, so I can't really tell you what you can expect. My experience has been that there are only a couple of strips that I really don't like at all, but they're over with very quickly, so even when it hurts, the pain doesn't last for long.

Taking a couple of ibuprofen just before your appointment will help with the swelling afterwards.
And, frankly, something to distract you is a huge help. Whether you take your iPod or just have some topic to talk to the technician about the whole time you're there, it makes a big difference.
Having a good aesthetician also really makes a difference -- someone that you feel comfortable with. So if you have a bad experience the first time, try another salon or a different person -- it might make your next time much better.

Well, bikini wax is quite uncomfortable as they rip the hair out by the root with hot wax.
I suggest ur first time u shave the area, use a good shave cream/Coochie Cream is good, i use it myself.
I too do the full shave, it makes it much cleaner during ur period.

Take some Advil before you go, it will help a bit with the pain. Remember, it will hurt, but each time you go, the pain will be less and less.......go ahead and get the Brazilian, you will like it best......oh and get you some PFB Vanish, it will keep any ingrowns away and keeps your skin nice and soft.

the first time you get a bikini wax it hurts and each time you get it afterwards, it slowly hurts less and less..so dont be nervous =]

Yes you should be nervous.........it hurts real hurts,my advise is to wait intill your older to get a brazilian wax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
