Yes because he and every member of his government got their education free. I am a single mum with two girls at Uni. Keeping them there is breaking me - and only 40% of British youngsters will get a University Education, most of them coming out with a debt of over £25,000. What sort of a start is that, to be in debt? This Government is tax-mad, out of touch and meglomaniac. What are we doing puffing ourselves up to stand next to the USA and pretend we can afford to spend billions on weapons that our citizens neither want nor can hope to pay for?

Everything rings hollow in Blair's mouth. It sounds so hollow you can only hear the two comas and an exclamation mark. What a legacy this man will be leaving behind. The legacy of failure, failure, failure!
Thank goodness that the young people have far more gumption than this government and are trying hard with the help of some really good teachers to get a good education for themselves. But with no help from this blind, all talking, no listening government.
That's what you get when hardly anyone of them brought with them a portfolio worthy of a government minister.
Blair should be called a man of straw!
Edit: Ingognito... excellent fraudian slip... Bliar's or was it a slip?

Yes.... He makes it easier for people to sit on their a*** and claim benefits crying out that they don't have education/experience/children (who's fault is that usually??) etc than to go back to education/work. I was a single mum and had to fund myself through years of college on the same benefits as those "sitting on their a***" for no valid reason, now on student loan and no benefits that I need to pay back when I qualify....
He's ruining the education system in so many ways and helping in so few ways (Every Child Matters is holding him in there by a thread). He's also ruining the NHS Service by turning it into a business.... We've never had so many managers/penpushers... and this from a labour govt that proudly put the NHS on the world map!!
It seems he is formulating good ideas to cover up the seriously bad ones. And we had such high hopes for him at the beginning....

That is but one of the sound bites from his liars mouth there are many more. I have been looking at A level papers. It is not the kids fault if they are taught to that level and get a good pass great. It is however a political move to make it look as if his lies were true.

I am a lecturer at an FE college in the West of England. I have just witnessed the decimation of my faculty. I'd like to ram those words down Tony's mouth. Or any appropriate orifice.

Yes it does. The LSC cuts in adult funding are an absolute abomination which didn't get publicised enough. Bring back basket weaving at the Community Centre.
