I have stretch marks from pregnancy, I had the baby 2 months ago. Is it possible to get the stretch marks to disappear? Do you know any good creams I could use. I use nivea body milk to hydrate my skin but it never stopped me from getting them. They're not as red as they used to be and they've gone pink now (I have white skin). Any good ways of getting rid of them or getting them to fade?

A friend once told me to use an exfoliateing sponge on them but I'm not sure if that would work or if it would make them worse?

Any advise would be appreciated!! Thanks!!

Mostly, All of the "stretch mark fading creams" on the market are separator creams - they simply separate you from your money. None of them have any empirical evidence that they can make an actual difference.

There is always the plastic surgeon, aka. dermabrasion, Pulsed Dye Laser treatments and chemical peels which are very costly methods involve a great deal of pain.

Then, somewhere in the middle is good old Retin-a or Renova. You need a prescription from your doctor, but it is relatively easy to get. While these were originally created to treat acne scars and sun damaged skin, they will lighten stretch marks if used consistently. You have to remember to do it every day and it works best on new stretch marks.

Hey there, I am a mom too and have my "battle scars" to prove it I hate to tell you this but nothing will REMOVE stretch marks, yes coco butter can soften and lighten them to a light silver and Mederma is a great product for stretch marks or scars.. but its pricey @ $25.00 for (3 oz) or so you can find it at CVS or Walmart. Exfoliation just removes dead skin cells from the surface stretch marks are scars from the skin stretching past the point of elasticity.

P.S. The way I look at it is..... being a mom is sexy, we are the nurturers of the world, any scar for that purpose is worth it :)

Stretch marks can never be permanently removed, but you can try to fade them out with vitamin E oil and Palmers cocoa butter. Hope that helps.

There's some form of Vitamin A (Retinol) they can prescribe to help. Go to your doctor. If might be too late after two months but it's worth checking.
