No, Cancer the sign and Cancer the disease are not the same thing. They are not linked.
Cancer the disease is ruled by Pluto and Neptune. Since everyone has all 10 planets in their charts placed in signs, placed in houses and making aspects we can all get Cancer the disease.
Cancer, the sign, rules the stomach, the breasts, the uterus, and the digestion of food.

You are the first person I have ever seen ask this. My best friend is a Cancer and he suffered through a very tough bout of Cancer about 20 years ago. He's been in remission ever since. Don't know if it's linked but you never can tell.

No you mostly get diseases from the environment around you , I once spent too long in the Sun as a teen an got skin cancer I'm fine now just be aware and be careful L
