you don't have to wait for halloween, to dress up. If you're a drag queen - lol.
seriously, there are fans out there of one thing or another, for example fans of star trek, or star wars, who get into character and costume for the occasion of a screening of their favorite film or at an event like a convention.
Anime enthusiasts called CosPlayers, dress up in costume of their most favorite characters. Some of the costumes are really very good, and sometimes you find a character that is hot on the screen and the fan who looks the part to a T that they look equally as Hot or even more Hot, because they are right there in the flesh, for real.
I used to do the costume thing, except I didn't just wear a flimsy facsimile of an interpetation. Like some enthusiasts, I prefered to dress up in the genuine thing for realism and also because, the real thing could "take" a little abuse (wear and tear). Unfortunately my "regailia" are all in storage back home in my folks basement.
Nope this year I'm the designated "pick-up your Hammered friends" after the party - Driver, I'm renting a tour van for the occasion, because I'm gonna be hauling a lotta drunk friends and co-workers. Better that they get home safely, than wreck and kill a bunch of kids coz they were being stupid in their own cars.

I'll be 32 by the time halloween rolls around and we still dress up - up until last year we did the Halloween Loop in Wilmington, DE - huge bar crawl - but now that we're in Mississippi, i think we may just have a halloween party! I have NO idea what i'm going to be - last year we dressed up as hawkeye and hotlips from M*A*S*H.

WOOT! Good Question! Me & my whole family have been all about the costumes for as long as I can remember. I currently have about 50-75 costumes at home at any one time & I even had a yard sale last year in early October & put out a TON of really nice ones.
Right now I am collecting a bunch of boxes of costumes to send to Burning Man since I can't go this year. I collect stuff from thrift stores all year long. My daughter is into Naruto this year so I've been off checking out Cosplay for her.

I'm 46 and dressed up like the Incredible Hulk, including green body make-up and took my granddaughter trick or treating last year. Haven't decided what to do this year. Thinking about dressing like a Christmas present, lol.

Of course! we have a big costume party every year! I'm 26, and my hubby is 24. We take the kids trick or treating, and then we get into costume and have all of our friends over! Always funk! Sex is always great when we are dressed in costume too! I would recommend it!
