I can't remove my background picture, and I can't get the screen to except another background over the one I have.

right click on your desktop - select 'properties' from the menu. select the 'desktop' tab - click on the '(None)' entry at the top of the 'Background' listing box. You can change the color of your background also after this by selecting the 'Color' box on the right of this same screen.

go to control panel, click display, click the desktop tab,
underneath the background you can change to any other background by clicking it and then clicking apply. It will change your background. Also if you have your own pictures you can use those as backgrounds as well.

Anything you want as background .First make its Icon on desktop.Then right click --now click properties,Now click Background,Now select the one you choose and made its icon,OK
