when a tv show says " we are back for our 7 th season " or how ever many of seasons.... does that mean that show has been on for a full 7 years. I watch this one show and now hear them say 7 seasons.... I can not comprehend that 7 years has already passed.... there must be a difference in a tv season and a year.. Do any of you know how this works or am I lost in time....

A season is the time between the premiere and the finale. There could be 2 seasons in a year. Most reality show have several seasons in the time a normal show has 1 season. They say 7 seasons but it could easily of only been on for 3 years.

Usally a TV show season is between September and early June or late May of the following year. Sometimes the schedules don`t make any sense though! A season is like a year on the show though! I hope this makes sense!
