Ask him questions about what he likes to do and his favorite movies, music, etc. then you can put him at ease. There is no other subject that makes people more comfortable than when talking about themselves.

You should just be yourself: caring, honest, and kind hearted. You both like one another but he is shy so don't try to pressure him or put him in a position where he is going to feel uncomfortable. If the both of you are in school, you can always talk about that or just talk about something that you both are interested in or you fav. movies or music there are lots of things that you could talk about but since you know that he is shy just go slow and don't expect much right away. He will come around and just be there for him and listen to him when he needs you. It will workout. I pray the best for you.

It is simple. Go talk to him and be honest with each other. Talk about things that interest both of you and share some stuff that the other doesn't know yet. It is the best way to begin a relationship even if you were friends before hand.

Do you know some of the things that he likes? You can start of by telling him some things about you, and your family, You can tell him of some thing that you want to accomplish in your life, then ask him, what are some things he want to do. or what he will like to do in the next 5 years?
You can talk about the weather, or how the world is changing, what is his views on that?

If, as you said he likes you, you may have to do most of the talking until he loosens up and feels comfortable chatting back. Some guys are painfully shy. Talk about anything at all, movies,
video games, sports, whatever you figure he might be interested in.

Find out from his parents what are some of his interests. Does he participate in any extracurricular activities at school? Does he have a part-time job? Play a musical instrument? Ask about some of his relatives and what they do for a living. Where did his family originate?

at least you know by his character that he's a shy guy, so him changing after finding out you like him should have been expected...my only advice is to keep the open communication and understand you may have to be the aggressive one when it comes to letting him know how you feel...as long as he can express to you that he's just as interested in you or doesn't want to pursue more than a just friends relationship you should be alright...

I know it may be quite hard to talk to someone you just met, especially someone you like. But if you really like him, then you should have th guts to talk to him rather than just keeping it in. If he doesn't make the first move, you should. Many guys like that kind of stuff, is when girls make the first move. Your mind is just probably blank because you're worried about what he is going to say. But if you really like him, don't be afraid to talk to him. You can talk to him about his day, how he's doing, what does he like, what kind of girls does he like, what are his classes like, just small talk first and then when you guys are ready or more comfortable, you'll get into bigger, longer talk. Hope this works. Good Luck. you'll be fine.

I believe if someone really wants to date you or whatever, they'd put their shyness aside for you. For a shy person, the right person will make them blossom (even if only with that 1 person). You can't really have a romance with someone who is afraid of you. Probably with someone who's super shy, the direct approach would be more scary than anything.

First of all how old are you? Second just be yourself, be his friend, talk like you did before you told him. Dont let your friendship change always keep that no matter what. Best of luck to you.
