What are some good ideas for a halloween costume?

are we talking kid or adult? The best kid one I saw was a bubble gum machine... homemade with the 'glass' part made from mesh material with multi colored foam balls inside which went around the kid (she was inside the mesh part... from her head down to her waist) with a red cap made to look like the top and a stiff skirt made to look like the dispenser part... hard to describe... or go as a baked potatoe.... wrap yourself with padding and then aluminum foil.

I had a friend go as a chick magnet... he dressed relly nice and taped cut out ducks all over him and put an 'N' on his front and an 'S' on his back... lol, we all laughed once we figured it out.

Do you look like anyone famous? My fiance looks like a young alan alda and last year we went to a bar crawl as hawkeye and hotlips from Mash! If you've got the body, i see those skin showing Bo Beep, Alice and Wonderland and all those are back again this year! Fairies are cool - tinkberbell ... try to think of a pun too - last year some guy was there as a cereal killer and had all these mini boxes of cereal taped to him that had gun holes or knives in them. One of these years i'm gonna make a costume and go as the guy from the Operation Game! I'm sure you'll get enough answers here to pick your costume!! Good luck and have fun!

a ghost - very easy, take a white sheet put it over your head to center it over your body then cut 2 holes out for eye. Not too big our people can see your face. To secure the sheet place an old tie around your neck (over the sheet) and tie it loosely using the normal tie knot. Very cute. You can also decorate the sheet or leave it plain. Just make sure it isn't too long or you will trip. you can also wear whatever you want to under it. an old pair of sneakers will finish off the costume.

Have fun and be careful. If you are going out to scare - remember a flashlight and friends.

A nun is always a good funny quick one.
All you need is an ugly black dress you can make a simple one or go to a thrift store. Take a shoe box, cut it in half.... cover the half in white fabric. Then lay about 2 yards of black fabric over it- just glue down. Then just get some bobby pins and pin it to your hair... if you don't have any hair then glue a head band into the box. Then find a large ruler and cross. It's a fun costume and it cost about $10 to make at Walmart.......

My sister was a tampon one year. She used a white sheet to put over herself. Then she got a roll of cotton and put that around her and then uses a white rope coming off the top of her head. For the kicker she used the vampire blood stuff and dripped it head down. It was really gross but she won every contest that night for her costume!

Work of warning it is hard to sit or drive all wrapped up.

What about a ketchup packet. Make it yourself by sewing thick plastic together so to cover your body with arm holes, leg hole and a head hole. Paint it like a ketchup packet and wear red underneath it.
