tried system restore= nogo. tried formatting in dos nogo.
i may have unique virus implanted by evil 1 who i allowed access , like an idiot.

Run the virus scanner and thereafter reset the computer to its factory settings. If it does not workout, then you have to format the computer.
You can also use AntiVer ...viru programme

After you tried formatting in dos you should reinstall windows me. During the install it could detect previous installation and eventually reuse some of the settings if there are files left on other hard drives (because the formatted one is gone).

I suggest to go for Window 98 or 2000. If u still wanna stick 2 it then call for engineer.

Windows Me has lots of problems..Switch over to either windows 98, windows XP home edition or Windows XP professional, they are much better, and have more protection (with there firewall)
