Most people would say Sunday is the beginning of the week.
However, here's my husband's logic and I quite like it:
If you ask people when the weekend is, they'll usually say Saturday and Sunday. So, according to this Saturday and Sunday are at the end of the week, hence "weekend."
So according to that logic, Monday would be the beginning of the week.

A week always begins with a Sunday..!! No two opinions about that. However, the first working weekday is always a Monday. No two opinions about that too :)
