I'd like to change carrers and I would like to work in the Psychiatrist field. How long is the study in that carreer? Does it depend what kind of psychiatrist I want to be? Any links would be awesome.

A psychologist is a social scientist who studies psychology, the study of the human mind, thought and human behaviour. Psychologists are usually categorised under a number of different fields, the most well-recognised being clinical psychologists, who provide mental health care, and research psychologists, who collect, investigate and analyse aspects of human behaviour. There are different types of psychologists which include: clinical psychologist, medical psychologist, health psychologist, school psychologist, organizational psychologist, and research psychologist. They can't write perscriptions.

A psychiatrist is a physician who is trained to prescribe medicine and provide counseling to help people deal with psychological and emotional issues. Psychiatry is a medical speciality whose primary goal is to improve people's mental well-being. This can be by managing and improving the symptoms of specific mental illness, as well as assisting people to gain insight into themselves and their relationships with others. They can write perscriptions.

all psychiatrists have to get a M.D. first and then get into the field of psychiatrists. psychologists, on the other hand, only need a Ph.D.
