This will sound really bad but you should chew sugar-free gum...I have braces and this really helps me after an adjustment. Also for more immediate relief you should take some advil.

The pain should subside by Friday. Next time you go for an adjustment take an Advil or Ibuprofen about 45 minutes before your appointment.

Hi

U chew a Bubble Gum. Then take small pieces of it and stick it on the sharper parts. You can try it for 3 or 4 days Then it will be fine

Take some tylenol for painkiller, and keep your mouth slightly open for a few hours to lessen the strain on your teeth. Pain should be gone in 24 hours.

My friend had braces she said it really hurt when they were tightened but the pain usually went away! I hope it does in your case!
Good Luck!

Might want to call Dentist office and ask for advice, no later than Thurs. Might also ask how long this is going to hurt.

if something is poking you , you need to call the orthodontist back and tell them, but if your just sore, it should probably ease up by Friday.
