Very easy go to the court house, but if you owe back support it all has to be paid before they stop taking your money. And the mom should have told the lawyer already that the child is 18.

Well you need to check your papers most child support now is till the child is 21 if in college.
But if yours is only till 18 you need to contact the court or department that handles your case.
Take your papers and the childs birth certificate to them. They should put the order in immediately to stop the garnishment.
Your employeer wont stop taking it till they receive a letter from the court telling them to.

I do not know.My son just turned 18 and they never garnished his!!!!
