Is there any State where one can choose their method of execution?

Only in Utah and that's between hanging and firing squad. It's a Mormon belief that if you shed someone's blood, your blood must be shed for you to find redemption.
With any luck the US will join the rest of the civilized world and get rid of it completely.
The 4 leading countries that still have capital punishment are;1-China,2- Saudi Arabia, 3- Iran & 4- USA
For any country to join the European Union, they must first abolish CP. We (Canada) got rid of it in1960 and it has not caused an increase in murders. By far, most years have seen a drop. I will say what bothers me most about CP in the US is the inequality under the law. If you are rich and famous and white, you will have a much better chance than if you are poor,black & unknown.

I believe in any state were death penalty is common(which is few) you are allowed to choose between a few choices. Suicide pill, lethal injection, electric chair, are a few I think. But you can' make a random demand like death by sword or death by being dragged across the city naked. They give you the options, few though they are, and you must choose one, or they go with lethal injection.

I think Illinois or Indiana has a choice. (It's either the lethal injection or hanging. I think. I'm not sure which one it is or if this is accurate.)
