i have a medion pna 100.....has anyone else had problems losing data when changing batteries over?....my back up battery does not seem to kick in and i lose all data when i swap batteries over,,,,is this normal?

is there a backup batt in the device? check it out in >> start >> setting >> power setting

if it shows that the internal backup batt is low, or dead .. then u can't remove the battery. all data will be wipe out ..

try plugging in the charger when u swap battery, seemed to work for me in xdaIIi. but thats not a long term solution. get it repaired.

You need to get a backup battery...Unless you are using Windows Mobile 5.0, your data wil vanish once power is not longer charging the RAM. The ROM only contains the os data files...none of your personal stuff. This is one of the reasons for Windows Mobile 5.0 compared to 2003...
